Our staff has the experience, skills, compassion and cultural sensitivity families need at this most important time. The center has the home-like atmosphere you would want for your new baby and other members of your family. You can hardly believe you are in a hospital. All of the warmth and comforts of home are provided to you in our birthing suites. All rooms are

private and decorated in warm colors.

Your baby stays with you after the birth to facilitate the bonding process. Your partner or support person is welcome to share the entire birthing and bonding experience. A comfortable reclining lounge chair accommodates overnight stays.

Our team of physicians and midwives specialize in obstetric and gynecologic care that continue Huron Hospital's tradition of meeting and serving the community's needs and provide expert medical care. Welcome Home Program

Family Maternity Center Lobby

Our concern for you and your baby does not end at discharge. Our "Welcome Home" program is designed to provide further assistance to mothers. The program is designed to support first-time mothers and all teenage mothers.

 

For those eligible or with special needs, a nurse visits you and your baby over the next few years to monitor you and your child's development. The nurse will respond to questions you have about your baby and family and make referrals to additional social services you may need.
